Nerd problems/Dr. Who issues.

I literally never post things here anymore, but I have no other worthwhile outlets for this unreasonable, not-quite-legitimate problem.
I'm attending my first con ever in June (Philly Comic Con), and got myself all excited to go as the Tenth Doctor, David Tennant. Bookmarked the appropriate sonic screwdriver on Amazon.com and everything. But it has occurred to me that would be a much more serviceable Matt Smith/11th Doctor. Not a BAD thing by any stretch, Matt Smith is a great Doctor, but .. god damn I loved David Tennant. I am still coming to emotional grips with his exit from the series and the bevy of compelling, heart-wrenching moments on his way out. But I could do Matt Smith MUCH more justice. Nerd problems, indeed.

Why I'm a huge dork.

I love the The Mummy movies and their spin-offs. Seriously, love them. The Mummy, The Mummy II, The Scorpion King .. if they are on tv, I have to watch them.
What else do I love? Jet Li flicks. The legit awesome ones like Fearless and Hero, and the not so great ones like War .. love Jet Li flicks. Oh, and War had the added bonus of Jason Statham, who I will also watch in just about anything, but I digress. The point.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is starring Brenda Fraser and Jet Li. It's like someone reached into my head and pulled out my ultimate "movie you can find at least once a week on some random cable channel" fantasy. I really think I'm more excited to watch it over and over again on television than for the actual theatrical release.

I do a volunteer radio show at my old college, and posting bulletins on social networking sites and leaving up instructional away messages have done me no good .. apparently my reality friends suck at supporting my extracurriculars. Your turn.
